Lori Kats' 2nd album, "From The Inside," is a reflection of all aspects of her life...from her relationship, to life on the road, to finding what her true passions are. It's been over 9 years since her last album, providing plenty of time for "looking inside" and writing new songs.
This new album was recorded in Eugene, Oregon at Don Ross Productions. With the exceptional engineering gift that Don provided, along with some fantastic musicians who accompanied her, this album showcases Lori as a much more mature singer-songwriter.
Lori was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. Her mother was a violinist in the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra, and her dad took her to the symphony every Sunday, so Lori grew up with music all around her. She took ukulele lessons at a very young age, then went on to play piano. She picked up guitar later in life since she couldn't really haul a piano around. But she remembers writing songs as early as 5th grade (just nothing she'd ever play in public).
She hopes this 2nd album reaches in and grabs your heart. She also hopes to hear some of these songs on movies and t.v. shows!!
